Love at DeCourcey’s Manor
I love the build up to weddings but mostly I enjoy the excitement, the planning, and the details that my lovely couples share with me. Lawrie and Morgan aren’t just coming together to throw a party, they are honouring each other by vowing to be husband and wife forever. Witnessing this promise to each other were their two little girls, Lucy and Maggie, who I think absolutely stole the show. They chose the gorgeous DeCourcey’s Manor to host their celebration and decorated the venue in spring yellows and greens.
Little Touches
In order to help personalise their big day, Lawrie asked her brother Nathan to use his incredible talent with woodwork to create the table plan. Everyone commented on it’s originality and style and how it so beautifully reflected their theme. Another special guest was the family dog Coco who made her presence known by approaching the guests for a quick stroke, belly rub and a tidbit or two. With Welsh table names, flower girls filling the rooms of DeCourcey’s Manor with laughter, excellent family and friends we had one cracking day. Big thanks to the amazing Chair Covers and Bows who provided the elegant chairs and bows which fitted in to Lawrie’s theme beautifully.
I often think the reason that wedding days turn out to be memorable isn’t just down to the planning, it’s a lot to do with the family and friends that surround the beautiful couple. Lawrie and Morgan are blessed to have so many people who love them, this was evident by the smiles, the laughter, and the huge queue to the photobooth. In fact when I found the groom to say goodnight I found him in the photobooth with his groomsmen while wearing a rubber viking hat. My only regret is that I had already packed away my camera!! Lawrie will remain a great girlfriend to me, I’m so glad that she and Morgan chose us to be with them on their big day. It was like getting ready with a great friend, not at all like work. Thank you both for being fantastic fun, I haven’t laughed so much in a while.
