Southerndown, Ogmore by Sea – Melissa and Nathan’s Pre-wedding Session

During newborn sessions there’s a lot of feeding, winding and cuddle time which means I get plenty of time sat talking to parents. Sometimes you just know you’re destined for great friendship by the end of a few hours chat and luckily for me this was true when I met Melissa, Nathan and baby Esme. They soon booked their wedding and I was honoured that they’d come back to me as first choice for photographer. I’ve since photographed Esme’s cake smash and first birthday session so really these two didn’t need much practice at all when it came to being comfortable in front of my camera – they know me, they know my personality and know that family always comes first.

We met at Esme’s bedtime which probably wasn’t the best idea BUT I knew that that gorgeous light would make up for one evening of disruption. We dragged Nanny along for a spot of babysitting while Mum and Dad became Melissa and Nathan for an hour. As you can see, they need no direction. These two are made for each other. Mel’s hair flying, the light on the sea, Nathan’s arms wrapped around her – just perfection.

I can’t wait for their wedding in a few weeks.
