Melissa and Nathan – Ridgeway Gold Club, Caerphilly

I’m often lucky enough to be booked for weddings because I’ve had previous photoshoots with couples or people that I know. I’m a family kind of person – family first always. Therefore on Mel and Nathan’s big day the main theme would be family and the “must have” shots included the star of the show – 1 year old Esme. I joined Melissa and her bridesmaids to get ready, and we went on in the boiling sun to Ridgeway Golf Club to introduce these two into their new chapter as a married couple.

Melissa and Nathan are truly a couple in love. These two soul mates can’t help but make you smile when you’re near them. Their love is infectious and the happiness between them is genuine – they are a joy to work with. After the ceremony we managed to escape on the golf buggies for some quick portraits, a near miss with a golf ball and some questionable buggy driving. The speeches were touching with a nod to Mel’s father, he may have been unable to attend but we certainly felt his presence with us on the day. After dinner, a few photos in the flowers with little Esme and then on to kick off a night of partying.

I’m very lucky to know that this isn’t the end of my journey with Mel and Nathan. I’ll be there for the next milestones and be lucky enough to watch little Esme grow up and fingers crossed see her as a big sister someday. No pressure Nathan!
