The Venue – Miskin Manor, Near Cardiff
It’s always such a pleasure to see two people coming together to unite in marriage, seeing those emotions and the details just work. Claire and Aled were an item before Claire left for uni and reunited when she came home showing that they were clearly meant to be. Fast forward a few years and they had their gorgeous little boy Dewi and decided it was time for one epic party to tie the knot. When they visited Miskin Manor they knew it was the perfect venue for them, it tells it’s own story and doesn’t need glamorous decoration – the history and the decor speak for themselves.
The Details
Our friends over at Chair covers and bows provided the chair covers, sashes and table runners which fitted in beautifully with Claire’s simplicity theme. Everything blended in so beautifully allowing the beauty of the venue and the people to shine. The show-stopping cake was made by the talented Carly over at Wish Upon a Cupcake and was utterly delicious as usual! The most epic band, Coverland, kept us dancing and smiling with a great mix of music and fun ethic.
The Couple
I’m lucky enough that I get to work with my best friend, who just happens to be my husband. Well we both agree we have made some friends for life with Claire and Aled. We laughed the whole day, had loads of fun and felt like we had known them our whole life. Not once did they pose, they just cuddled up and laughed proper big laughs. I can’t even look at these photos without smiling, these guys have such infectious personalities, they are addictive and I need another fix. Dewi, their two year old was a seasoned camera dodger but when the photographers have young children of their own there’s no escape.
Her wedding jewellery were gifts from her lovely husband, his cufflinks had their initials engraved, and the table plan was home made. I just can’t get enough of these two. Here are some highlights from one of the most fun weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing.
